IDACCA’s philanthropic focus to make a positive change in the world using Cryptocurrency, will be to not just fund humanitarian projects, but take an active role in the projects.
The first humanitarian project that IDACCA plans to complete is to build an orphanage in Ombaka, Kenya by April of 2019. David Morefield, Executive Director of IDACCA, made a scouting trip to Ombaka, Kenya this past January. David has experience with building orphanages in Kenya, which is what led to the selection of the country of Kenya for our first project.
The remote village of Ombaka has many orphans. Not only do they not have a dedicated place to sleep, but they are without the basic necessities like clean water, food, education and shelter.
As ambassadors of the Cryptocurrency Community, we will leave a lasting positive impact in places like Ombaka and build good will for the Cryptocurrency industry. Also during the trip, we will host a seminar in nearby Kisumu, Kenya to help educate the public on the advantages of cryptocurrency. There are many unbanked people in Kenya and currently, they use a product called mPesa to send money via SMS. It is our belief that cryptocurrency is a much more secure option and we hope to work with the phone providers in Kenya to make that happen in the future.
If you would like to go help with construction or you are with a cryptocurrency project and would like to present at this conference, please email David Morefield for more information.
